Warranty
The Venue comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Q3’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.
Hyundai’s powertrain warranty covers the Venue 6 years and 50,000 miles longer than Audi covers the Q3. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles. Coverage on the Q3 ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.
There are almost 3 times as many Hyundai dealers as there are Audi dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Venue’s warranty.
Reliability
J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Hyundai vehicles are better in initial quality than Audi vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Hyundai third in initial quality, above the industry average. With 96 more problems per 100 vehicles, Audi is ranked 30th, below the industry average.
J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Hyundai vehicles are more reliable than Audi With 51 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Hyundai higher than Audi.
From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2026 Auto Issue reports that Hyundai vehicles are more reliable than Audi vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Hyundai 1 place higher in reliability than Audi.
Fuel Economy and Range
On the EPA test cycle the Venue gets better fuel mileage than the Q3 (29 city/33 hwy vs. 22 city/29 hwy).
To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Hyundai Venue uses regular unleaded gasoline. The Q3 requires premium, which can cost on average about 84.9 cents more per gallon.
Transmission
The Venue has a standard continuously variable transmission (CVT). With no “steps” between gears, it can keep the engine at the most efficient speed for fuel economy, or keep it at its peak horsepower indefinitely for maximum acceleration. The Q3 doesn’t offer a CVT.
Suspension and Handling
For better maneuverability, the Venue’s turning circle is 5.5 feet tighter than the Q3’s (33.2 feet vs. 38.7 feet).
Chassis
The Hyundai Venue may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1200 to 1300 pounds less than the Audi Q3.
The Venue is 1 foot, 7.3 inches shorter than the Q3, making the Venue easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
Passenger Space
The Venue has 7.9 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Q3 (91.9 vs. 84).

The front step up height for the Venue is 1.5 inches lower than the Q3 (16” vs. 17.5”). The Venue’s rear step up height is 1 inches lower than the Q3’s (17” vs. 18”).
Ergonomics
The Venue SEL has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Q3 doesn’t offer a remote starting system.
To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Venue has a standard rear fixed intermittent wiper with a full on position. The rear wiper standard on the Q3 only has an intermittent setting, so in a hard rain visibility isn’t as good.
Economic Advantages
According to iSeeCars.com the 2026 Hyundai Venue retains 61.34% of its original value after 5 years, significantly more than the 49.66% resale value of the 2026 Audi Q3 after five years, which can save the Hyundai’s owner up to $11018 in depreciation.
